I love the whole “I can name a few video games that have good gender reporesentation, therefore gender representation problems in video games don’t exist and anybody who claims they do is just being whiny” routine.
Can you imagine if we applied the same reasoning to other common gripes?
Games with good camera controls exist, therefore it’s unreasonable to complain about a game having clumsy camera controls.
Games with snappy framerates exist, therefore it’s unreasonable to complain about a game having lousy framerates.
Games with friendly DLC policies exist, therefore it’s unreasonable to complain about a game having predatory DLC policies.
Really, if these insufferable gamebros actually believed their argument that the mere existence of at least one game that fails to exhibit problem X automatically invalidates all conceivable criticisms of problem X, we’d have a lot more peace and quiet!
